As lead vocalist of River City People (EMI), Siobhan found success in the charts before moving to Nashville in 1997, where she recorded a duo project, “Kindred Spirit with Debbie Peterson of The Bangles (IRS). It was here she met her future husband, 5X Grammy winning producer Ray Kennedy (Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams).

After performing as a featured vocalist on Steve Earle’s ‘El Corazon’ and ‘Jerusalem’ albums, she made her own album, ‘Immigrant Flower’ for (BMG) in 2002.

Siobhan’s biggest project has been motherhood, but her work in the music world is a close second.  Most recently she’s worked on UK guitarist and folk legend Richard Thompson’s last 3 albums, ‘Electric’, ‘Still’, and ‘13 Rivers’.  In addition, she’s releasing new solo Americana recordings and is making plans to record more in 2020, collaborating with musicians back in the UK. She says, “My favorite thing to do is connect the two music cities I call home…” (#liverpooltonashville)

She also returned to Liverpool for a time to perform at Liverpool International Music Fest (LIMF), uniting the city’s leading female musicians in a celebratory project called “Herstory” to showcase Liverpool’s formidable female talent, including names such as Jennifer John, Natalie Mccool, Jayne Casey, and Sense of Sound Singers. The project calls attention to the fact that despite Liverpool’s most popular, predomonately male musical influences (think The Beatles)- women have always been at the heart of making Liverpool music great.

The success of the event inspired Siobhan to carry on this theme and in 2019 she launched The Livergirls (@thelivergirls) with country artist Laura Oakes. This is a growing collective of women in music from Liverpool, performing Nashville’s typical  in-the-round style. Their debut show sold out, and will now be a regular event.
